[Crane's steps are long and drawn out as he slowly makes his way through Game Central Station. He glances around, his eyes taking in all the sites and people around him.

While his game had been plugged in for a while, Crane didn't often venture too far from it. He wasn't one much for crowds, and after the arcade closes he preferred spending the evening quietly resting.

But while he loved the adventure/tournament-fighting game that was his home, there were times when he needed just a little getaway to take a break from it.

So if you happen to see Crane wandering around, maybe drop by to say hello. He wouldn't mind a bit of conversation.]

[Crane stumbles back a little, but quickly finds his balance again thanks to his long legs before reaching out to Hiccup to help steady him.]

Sorry...are you all right?

[trainsurdragons]

I-..I'm ok! I'm ok-

[He opens his own mouth to apologize, but falters when he feels wings grabbing at his shoulders. He glances around quickly before looking up, presented with a long beak instead of a normal face.

After being in this arcade for so long, he's learned to become accustomed to a plethora of different characters- talking animals included. Quickly, he straightens back up, wishing he could just- ...tie some leather around the end of his prosthetic or something. But then, the gamers would wonder where the heck that came from.]

Sorry I- ...I wasn't looking where I was going.

[kawkaw]

That's all right. I wasn't paying much attention myself.

[Sort of bad to do for a character programmed as a Kung Fu master...

He studies the kid in front of him; he's fairly sure he's seen him around GCS before during the few times he's visited, but he's never interacted with him before. But Crane still gets the feeling that he's not too used to coming out here either.]

My name's Master Crane...although Crane is just fine too.

[trainsurdragons]

...Nice to meet you, Crane. I'm Hiccup.

[Master Crane, huh?...he thinks back, and remembers seeing a fighting game that featured anthropomorphic animals as the characters- so that must be the one he hails from.]

So uuh...what brings you to the station today?

[kawkaw]

[He manages a little grin.] Just wanted something new, I guess...take a little break. As much as I like my friends in our game, it'd be nice to interact with people who didn't try beating me up today.

[trainsurdragons]

[Duly noted. He even manages a weak grin, leaning back on the heel of his existing foot.]

Makes sense, yeah. ...Kinda the same thing I'm doing just- .....I just don't do it often.

[He still doesn't know if it's just because he's apprehensive....or what.]

[kawkaw]

[Crane nods in understanding, bringing himself down a little so he's not completely towering over this kid. He doesn't want to seem menacing or anything.]

Yeah, I don't leave my game much either. Just every once in a while for a change of pace, you know?

[trainsurdragons]

Yeah!

[Yeah this is the biggest bird he's EEEEVER seen.]

And GCS is...definitely a big change.

[kawkaw]

Yeeeeeah...[Crane glances around the busy station.] It's definitely different.

[trainsurdragons]

...Yeeep. ....very....different.

[Oh no awkward silence. ..he had a feeling this would happen, just not NOW.]

[kawkaw]

[Yuuuuuup...awkward.]

So, uh...where are you heading?

[trainsurdragons]

Oh uh- ...nowhere in particular! Just you know...exploring, scoping out the other games and...stuff.

[kawkaw]

[Crane smiles and nods.] Ah, I see. One of those days to just take a look around?

[trainsurdragons]

One of them. ...More like the only day...actually...

[Sorta.]

I just don't leave my game much so...all this is pretty new for me.

[kawkaw]

Heh, yeah...it can be pretty overwhelming if you're not used to it.

[Not that Crane has much room to talk; he's not really used to it either.]

Well...maybe looking around might be less intimidating with some company?

[He's asking just as much as he's offering.]

[trainsurdragons]

[Hiccup smiles a little, nodding at Crane before running his fingers through his hair.]

Maybe. I wouldn't mind a little...company myself, to be honest.

[Besides, GCS is pretty big.]

[kawkaw]

[Crane returns the grateful smile, before glancing around, stretching his neck a bit to get a better look. It's hard to see much past the crowd of characters, though.]

I wonder why it's always so crowded...

[He always feels a bit nervous around a large group of people, especially if he was unfamiliar with them. Despite how slender he was, it was difficult for him to maneuver around a lot of people, and he always had to worry about his slender legs around crowds.

He was also concerned for his companion's sake. Just from their brief running into each other, he already suspected that the prosthetic leg was less than ideal for the station's linoleum floor.]

[trainsurdragons]

I guess because the characters who've been working longer than we have are ready to relax after a long day's work...?

[It would make sense, anyway. While he personally was perfectly fine staying right where he was in his own game, a lot of characters cherished this time during after hours to get a break- and for some, it was to get a drink instead.]

[kawkaw]

I suppose. [A small grin.] Although coming here after a long day isn't exactly what I'd call relaxing...

[trainsurdragons]

My thoughts exactly.

[Hiccup walks alongside Crane carefully. Very carefully- the floor still isn't being kind to his prosthetic, so he's taking extra care not to step too quickly, lest he trip. Again.]

I guess, in some games, you can't really find a chance to relax otherwise- so they come here for some rest instead.

[kawkaw]

[Crane walks slowly, his long legs letting him take his time between steps. It puts him in a good position to catch Hiccup just in case.]

Possibly...I admit, I don't know many of the other games around here. There have been a lot of games that come and go, it's hard to keep track of them all...

[The viking nods in agreement, folding his arms over his chest.]

Heck, you're lucky if you stay around for more than a few months nowadays...graphics keep getting better and better every year.

[kawkaw]

I know. I've been lucky that my game's been around for a while, but you always have to worry about how long that lasts. Especially for movie-based games, and we have to worry about sequels...

[trainsurdragons]

...Oh man, yours is movie based too?

[Yep, sequels were definitely a thing.]

Well, let's hope by the time ours have sequels, if they do, we won't be replaced.

[kawkaw]

[Crane smiles a little. It was a nice thought, but he knew that as the franchise changes with the movies, so did the games to match. So the chances of their games getting replaced with one up-to-date with recent films was much higher than they'd hoped.

Still, he decides against saying so, and instead looks around as other game characters rush here and there.]

Well...if our games do end up getting replaced...at least we'd have good company.

[There were already characters from unplugged games around the station. And while most were sad to be homeless, they all at least had each other.]
