First Flight [Action]
[There's a console that's been plugged in for quite a while, about five down from Pac-Man, still looking as new as it was when it first was plugged in. Well, save for a few nicks here and there.
Actually, the game titled Riders of Berk will be turning one year old in a few weeks, but it's main character has chosen to keep that to himself, for now. Not like anybody would say a whole lot about it, really. At least the gamers find a combination racing/fighting game with dragons a pretty neat deal.
But as long as the game has been plugged in, not many have seen nor spoken to Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III all that much. Maybe that's because he just never visited GCS too much? It's unsure why- perhaps he just felt more comfortable in the console, never having to worry about getting stuck for some reason and not being back in the game before opening.
...Actually that's probably the reason. The viking doesn't have the best luck sometimes.
But today? Today he's finally ventured into the thick of the central hub of the arcade, walking slowly as he looks around at the other characters passing by. He's the hero of his game, so he doesn't have to worry about people running from him since he's 'a bad guy', but that doesn't mean he feels any more included. Actually, he feels like he's sticking out like a sore thumb here. Just this- spindly teenager with barely any meat on his bones, walking with a slow gait, with a soft clicking sound following every other step. That's what you get for having a bit of a tragic backstory- the programmers decide to chop your leg off.
This might not be Hiccup's first time here, but it might as well be.]

Hiding among the crowd was working so far. "Hey!" someone shouted as she jumped over them. There were several other disgruntled noises that followed, getting closer and closer to the brunette boy. Then, suddenly, Hiccup would feel a pair of hands on his shoulders from behind as Tooth positioned herself to hide behind him.
Personal space? What's that?]Shhhh. Let me hide here for a second.

[Hiccup hadn't expected to be suddenly approached, much less used as a human shield. He staggers just slightly from the sudden contact, more startled than anything. Pleease let his prosthetic not slip on this unfairly slick floor for once-
Hiccup stands still for a moment or two, people not even giving him a second glance as they pass by. Well- he's definitely not sticking out as badly as he thought he was. After a minute though he looks over his shoulder nervously, his eyes widening when he finally gets a good look at the brightly colored, bird-like woman before he whispers.]
...Why are you hiding?

After a bit, she sighs in relief and stands up straighter while releasing her hold on him. Her wings whirr and in a flash, she's in front of him. She's an obnoxious color explosion on the unprepared eyes.]
I just wanted to lose some people that wouldn't leave me alone! Looks like I did, so thanks.

[Hiccup blinks a few times, using the heel of his hand to rub one eye. Gee, she's- ..pretty bright. Compared to everything in his own game- ..it's normally always really dark, warm tones.
That or it's snowing, then everything is nothing but white.
The viking smiles weakly and runs his fingers through his hair, sighing before glancing off to the side.]
Ah-heh I'm...I'm sorry I-....I don't really get out into Game Central Station much so I'm just uh....you know...looking around..
[Trying to blend in, you know.]
no subject
Have you been around a while, then? I'm new, myself! Well, newer, anyway. [A small, dismissive shrug.]
no subject
[Still bordering on a year over here!]
But you know, when you've been in the arcade gig for a while you get...used to the way things work around here.
[That is, of course, IF you actually venture from your game- which Hiccup does not.]
....Uhm- ...what's your name? ..I'm Hiccup.
no subject
I'm Toothiana! Tooth Fairy, if you want to get technical. Just Tooth is fine though.
It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Hiccup!
no subject
[He couldn't help but echo her softly. That was a pretty name she had. He nods quickly, lifting his head a bit.]
It's nice to meet you too, Tooth.
[Look at that, he's even smiling a bit. At least he's not so nervous about being in GCS anymore.]
So uh...what brings you to the station today?
no subject
Me? Mmm, no real reason, I guess! I just like it. I like my own game, too, but there's just so much to see here! I never get tired of it.
What about you?
no subject
[He glances down quickly at his legs before clearing his throat.]
Leg a bit.
no subject
Ah, yes. Tragic backstories. Although no one would guess it, Tooth was all too familiar with that concept. Her gazes goes back up to meet his as she clasps her hands behind her back and smiles again.]
It's good to get out every once in a while, I think! What game are you from, actually?
no subject
[He sighs, rubbing the back of his neck.]
What about you?
1/3?
"dragons and stuff"
"dragons"]

[She's talking about a million miles a minute, feathers ruffling and fluffing out every so often when her excitement spikes.]
no subject
Sorry! I guess I got kind of carried away there.
[Ahem.]
As for me, I'm from Rise of the Guardians! It's newer so not many people have heard of it yet.
no subject
Well hey uh- ...maybe sometime I could...show you around my game? ..I mean my best friend is a dragon- ...who's...name is Toothless, ironically.
He's got teeth though- ...just not....all the time.
[SORTA.]
no subject
[For as popular as she seemed, Tooth actually didn't have anyone to call a friend yet outside of her own game. It felt like being invited to another's game was reserved for that though; being friends.]
Retractable teeth, then? I didn't realize dragons could do that! Though I guess there's a lot I don't know about dragons. You'll have to teach me!
no subject
Today almost didn't happen. Hiccup nearly turned right back around, walked back into Riders of Berk's entrance, and didn't look back.
But something told him to visit GCS today. Now he's glad he did.]
Yeah! Toothless is...pretty special though. I'm not sure if any other dragons besides him can do that. You'd just have to see for yourself, I think.
[He pauses, blinking. Teach her? Goodness, she seems so enthusiastic, how could he say no? So he lets out a soft chuckle before speaking again.]
I think that would be fun Tooth.
no subject
He sounds like it! I can't wait to get a look at those teeth of his... [That last part is a bit quieter, mumbled.] Are all dragons friendly in your game?
[Hopefully he didn't mind being bombarding with all these questions. It was just so hard to stop herself when she was interested!]
You do? I'm glad! [For a second there, she was almost worried she was imposing on poor Hiccup... but if he didn't mind then it was fair game!]
no subject
[Of course, the game had been programmed with a few rogue dragons here and there to be 'tamed', but after hours they were really just big old softies.
He doesn't really mind all of her enthusiastic questions, either. If anything, it's getting his mind off how nervous he was about entering the station in the first place.]
no subject
[Unfortunately for them, they stayed bad after hours too. They were just programmed to be evil though, like Pitch, so it wasn't entirely their fault.]
What's it like to ride a dragon? I can fly myself but I imagine it's a lot different being a passenger! [This was just turning into twenty questions, it seemed!]
no subject
Oh man, it's amazing. I can't really describe it, but it's just...amazing.
[Hiccup, the viking of many words.]
no subject
I can't wait to visit your game, then.
