surgeprotector: (2)
[It's the late evening and The Arcade has just closed. A Surge Protector appears onscreen in a video message sent out to everyone in their games, and on the public service announcement screens in Game Central Station, businesslike as usual.]

Good evenin', everyone. Just wanted to let ya know, we've completed the maintenance for ArcadeNet so the whole network should be up and workin' again.

If you're still experiencin' any issues, just send us back a message or ya can head on over to Game Central Station. We'll stamp out those bugs quick as we can.

Alright that's all, proceed and have a good night.

[The first night after a new game gets plugged in is always a little exciting. Most of the characters from Rayman:Origins are staying back in their game, relaxing after an exhausting first day on the job, while a few more adventurous ones have gone off to explore Game Central Station.

One of these more curious characters is the Magician, quietly meandering around the entrance of his game, almost like he’s scared to go too far away from it. He’s very short, with a top hat about as tall as he is. He can’t help but stare at some of the other game characters passing by, and he almost looks like he wants to ask something, but isn’t sure where to begin.

Anybody mind giving the newbie a hand?]
kingofnightmares: (What a waste.)
[Pitch's game had been recently plugged in. And being beaten up so much today, it took it's toll on the spirit. His body ached and with the Arcade closed for the night, he decided to venture into Game Central Station.

His tall figure was imposing, and his color palette didn't help either with that imposing factor. He purses his lips as he watches some 'good guys' pass by, almost sneering at them as they stare. They flinch and scatter away from the Boogeyman as fast as they can. Pitch takes in the sight of Game Central, seeing how bright and colorful it was, along with it's heroes. The villains, mostly, stood out like sore thumbs, much like himself.

Running a boney hand through his raven locks, he filters through the Game Central, making his way to Tappers.]

{{ooc: You can meet up with Pitch either in Game Central Station or in Tappers, whichever you prefer!}}

[While his game Transformers 'Race for Cybertron' had been plugged in for a bit, but no one had ventured out yet since the network had been down at the time. Now though, Skyfire was curious...

He was an explorer after all... and he was bored... Being an unlockable on a rather new game was quite boring, he hadn't been used once yet... so the chance to see a new place was quite thrilling.

.... His size... was going to be a bit of an issue though it seemed. He smacked his head again on another sign as he was too busy watching where he was putting his feet and scanning his surroundings.

Was everyone else here all so small? It was fascinating, but a little worrying... Being four times bigger than just about everyone... he was worried about hurting someone.]

[There's just been a bunch of recently plugged-in games lately, hasn't there? One of the newest arrivals wandering around Game Central Station is this lovely lady. She hasn't been used much yet--after all, when a rhythm game has competition like DDR, it's not going to see much use starting out!

Of course, with such a big area, she's looking a little lost... Maybe she could use your help?]

rhythmiku: (One moment please?)
[Idling in the station is this teal twin-tailed diva. She appears to be counting the number of new games and thinking aloud. ... Into her mic. She forgot to turn it off. Whoops.]

Wow, so many games... is there a welcoming party planned yet? Yeah, there should definitely be a dance party! With a diva like me around, there's no excuse!

[Rhythm game characters, am I right?]
reachforthestars: (I know in my heart that it’s my time)
[suddenly, with no warning what so ever, the lights go out all at once. But it's all right, because LIGHTS!

CAMERA!

ACTION!

-- Wait wait wait, when did someone manage to set up a stage in the middle of Central Station anyway? Oh well, details, who cares because we brought music and rhythm games and likely the racing and fighting and shooting games too because who can say no to score attack? (Not your cup of tea? That's okay, it's what SEGA Bass Fishing is for!)

Did you really expect an arcade to open up and there to not be a major company's mascot character to show up? Exactly how many games do you think exist in this arcade that's published by SEGA anyway? Wanna join in? It's cool, we got your back. Calling all my All-Stars, let's all get up and jam!

But it seems Sonic's not on the stage dancing by himself. There's another kid up here, dressed in a snazzy suit. Must be a new kid considering he's not a familiar face around here. It's all right though, what with the new game machine that SEGA put out last year, Phantom R was making a splash even outside of his own handheld game]

Ready?

It's... SHOWTIME!

[OOC: SO I'll be tagging as both Sonic the Hedgehog and Phantom R from Rhythm Thief because SEGA likes it's arcade games. Not sure what game is being shown? It's MaiMai Plus aka that game that looks like a washing machine, which has been recently gotten the plus version with both 3 songs from Rhythm Thief and 3 songs from the Sonic franchise not that Sonic needs more reason to be in the arcade because he's already in All-Stars Racing and Sonic the Fighters among others . Likely, both of them will reply (in the same comment or otherwise noted) or, if you just want to speak with one specifically, let me know in the subject!

IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE DANCING. Let's all be friends as these two glory hogs try to steal the show- Yea, okay I'm done with the terrible puns and references... for now. and they fixed the lights when the show's over too. They're terrible, but they're not mean!]
